I keep this spoon in a clear glass, air-tight canister filled with coffee beans. The spoon is lovely, has substantial weight, and it has a great shine when polished; however, the spoon begins to yellow ever-so-slightly...which is not the problem. I can deal with a little tarnish. The problem is that along with the slight yellow tarnish (barely noticeable), the spoon begins to emit the most unpleasant odor. It does not affect the coffee beans, and I can't actually smell the spoon from a distance - but it does get into the skin of your fingers and WON'T GO AWAY, EVEN WITH DISH SOAP! It is the strangest smell - I can't even describe it. Upon research, I did find something about bad silver-plating causing a bad smell. Perhaps mine was a fluke, but I would consider this if you have a sensitive nose like I do!

Looks very beautiful. However, the silver plate is chipping after only a few uses. Must be a very shallow coating of silver plate.

Would not purchase again. This item was not washed in dishwasher, but was handled very cautiously.

Poor quality.

This is the perfect coffee scoop. Very sturdy and it looks great. Cleans easily. I was always guessing at my scoop sizes but this scoop is error proof and I now make the perfect cup of coffee!

I bought several coffee scoops a few years ago to give as gifts. Each was received with real delight and all are still in use. Coffee oils are caustic and these troupers clean up bright as the day they were given. So, just in case they should ever be discontinued...I've ordered backups for my friends and family!

I ordered two of these as stocking stuffers for people I know who have EVERYTHING. They are very good quality - heavy weight, very shiny. The engraving looked just like the photo. For the money, I thought it was a great little gift and was very pleased to give them.

I got this spoon for myself and my parents who drink coffee and tea a lot. They liked it so much I got a 2nd one for them so they had one for each canister. It's heavy and nicely made. I like mine so much I'm thinking about getting the ice scooper too.

Perfect size coffee scoop - 1 tablespoon. It is a nice piece and is very heavy and sturdy... It will tarnish, but its silver that's natural. Am actually buying a 2nd one just to have.
