We have a child with severe reflux. He was extremely fussy as a infant and this is the only thing that soothed him. The "stream" sound is a miracle worker. It is a must have for anyone with a baby that needs extra loving care. He is almost 1 and when he is upset I just turn it on and he immediately stops crying.

I have used this item for both of my children. It helps them fall asleep and drown out other noises. I use the rain function on the machine. I have taken it on numerous trips(Mexico, Lake, etc.). It travels very well.
The first one I got came with a cord. I am searching for a cord to go with the second one I got. Rechargable batteries work for now.

I RECEIVED AS A GIFT ,IT DOES HELP TO PUT YOU TO SLEEP BUT SOME OF THE SOUNDS, SOUND AS IF THEY WERE STAGED FOR EXAMPLE THE THUNDER IT SOUND AS IF SOME ONE IS HITTING A METAL SHEET AND THE BABBLING BROOK SOUNDS LIKE A WATER FAUCET.

The item is ok for the money, however it comes with an ac adapter outlet but no adapter. Sounds have a short loop and repeat too often.
