I was always proud of the fact that I had been born in NY and when my husband and I moved from Michigan to Maryland, while he was in service, the fact that on short leaves or long week-ends we could drive back there always made me happy. The first glimpse I had on these trips of NY was always the Statue of Liberty standing with her lamp welcoming me. She always put a smile on my face and reminded me of how lucky I was to have been born in this country.
Now that we live in California the trips to NY have been very minimal. My statue stands in my home office always remeinding me of how lucky I am to be an American.

I love this! It brought memories of the best vacation ever of visiting NYC and the Statue of Liberty 20 years ago. My husband bought this for me because I always say to everyone "if you ever get the chance to see the Statue of Liberty you just have to! It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen and experienced!" The statue purchased [...] is tall (24 inches tall, from base to tip of torch by 7 1/2 inches wide)and demands attention, but is not overwhelming, when you look at Her, She has much presence and can be seen across the room and you just have to smile and be thankful you live in America, the best place on earth!
