I gave this as a wedding gift to a student that I had taken to Washington DC. It was not only a nice addition to her kitchen but will keep us connected to some wonderful memories because of the patriotic theme.

Although marketed as pie plate, I will likely never make a pie in it except perhaps a large deep dish ice cream pie. I believe one may purchase pies for less than purchasing separate ingredients and bypass hassle of making pie. I know few who still make pies except for David Letterman's mom at Thanksgiving. Looks great as serving piece for fruits or cut vegetables.
