We started with 2 when my husband & I first married. We had our names on them. Then we began adding to them as our children were born. When our 2nd child was born, her stocking was a different size. Oh the drama! But Lillian Vernon took all the stockings back, reissued them all in the same size, and even changed the personalization from our names to "Mommy" and "Daddy" for free. No more drama!

This stocking came just on time for Christmas. All in all, it is a good to excellent quality product. So why did I give it 1 star? I purchased this stocking from LV years ago for the whole family. One year we had an addition and I ordered another. It was as perfect as the previous order. This year, we have a relative spending the holiday with us and so I purchased one for them. Low and behold, LV did the ICE CREAM switch!! The stocking was much smaller. The Santa was not quite the same and that would have been fine, but the reduction in size makes this a poor purchase. LV you have many faithful customers who shop year after year for family treasures such as these stockings. Why not include a tag line that states “this stocking has been reduced in size in order to provide you the same quality at our value price”. I don't appreciate the surprise... I like to know before I buy that you have economized an annual item. The size difference: 6" smaller in length and 2" smaller in width. Noticeably different when you hang them all in a row!

I would recommend this to a friend, and because it is a friend, I would advise that this item IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

WE love these stockings and because Lillian Vernon has them every year, we ordered one for our dog 2 years ago and one for our new baby boy this year. The only drawback is that the names are all different sizes. I would expect some differences considering the names, but mine and my eldest son's are tiny, but my husband, dog, and older son's actually look like they do in the picture. Plus, my husband's name is longer! Other than that you can hardly see two of our names, the stockings are just beautiful.

I love the way these look against my mantel. I also grew up with needlepoint stockings and always intended to make them for my kids when they were younger. Like most moms I never got around to it. However, I am glad that I didn't because these are wonderfully made and very attractive. Most likely would have spent more on the patterns and stockings, not to mention my time. I only wish that they would come up with a few more designs. I need to buy another one, but have all the designs so far. Please make a few new ones ... how about a Mrs. Claus!

These stockings have been in our family for 3 generations. As our family grows, every person gets their very own stocking. The oldest stockings look just as good as the new ones. A family tradition. It would not be the holidays without these hanging above the fire place.

I love these stockings! I ordered my first two stockings eight years ago (they are very durable)when I got married and my third stocking when my son was born five years ago. And now I just ordered my fourth stocking for my baby daughter's first Christmas. They remind me of stockings I had as a child so they have become very sentimental to me and will stay with me for many years to come. They are one of my favorite things about Christmas. I ordered these stockings two years ago, and I liked them so much that I ordered another two last year. They're well made and very attractive, and look especially nice on the brass stocking holders. Would like to see other designs, as I am not having to repeat them as the family grows.

I was very disappointed with these.. I have shopped with Lillian Vernon for years, but these were horrible quality, unfinished letters shoddily done in the personalization[...]. Not worth the price for this kind of workmanship. They are being returned.

Nice quality traditional stockings. However, they are a little narrow and it is sometimes difficult to pack them. But, they are durable and have withstood overstuffing. Would like to see more design options.

I ordered two of these stockings two years ago and am very happy with the product. The quality is much better than I expected however the personalized names on each don't look big enough to read without getting up close. But I like the look so I will order another for my baby's 1st Christmas next year!

After needlepointing two of my own, these are wonderful! Very high quality, lined, excellent size and the monogramming is gorgeous. I add to the collection as our family grows. I hope they continue to offer them each year and add more designs to the collection - I have one of each already.

I been buying these stockings for a long time and have added to them as needed, the size has gotten bigger, which is nice, but now I have three small ones and two big ones. Only problem I encountered was that the last stocking I ordered a few years ago, did not have the red velvet on the front where the name goes, so it doesn't match and the name is hard to read. I should have returned it, but I didn't...wish I did. Still waiting for you all do come out with a Mrs. Santa Claus Stocking!!!!

This is the third stocking that I have ordered. I ordered two about two years ago for my twin grandsons. This one has the angel and looks adorable. One of the posters said that she couldn't find the same group of stockings but I have seen this angel for some years now. I will say that the Monogramming has improved and is a smidgen thicker...which makes a difference. Perhaps this is due to some complaints about the monogramming in which case it is good that there is this review site. I hope they continue to stock these items because no doubt I will be having other grandchildren and would like to keep adding on.

My stocking arrived perfect, with one exception. The lowercase r in my daughter's name looks like an n. So I'm returning it. But if her name didn't have an r in it, it would be the perfect stocking! It's really pretty and seems durable.

These stockings reminded me of the handmade needlepoint stockings hung on the mantel at Christmas. With the six different designs each of my children has a different stocking. They look great and are a wonderful way to carry on the tradition from my childhood.

I was so pleased with the personalized stocking I bought for our daughter. It will now hang next to her big brother's stocking on the mantle every Christmas for years to come! I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get the "same" stocking for her two years later. It was nice to see the same style stocking available and I just chose a "different" character for hers.

The stocking is OK. I didnt think that my son's name was embroidered as nice as it could have been. The lettering wasnt very large and I thought the stocking would be a little bigger. Overall if I had to pick a stocking for my son's first christmas I wouldnt pick this one. I'm going to buy something else.
