Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

I have been ordering these lunch bags for my boys every year for several years now. I was so disappointed to find that they were discontinued, when I called today! The only print left is leopard -- if you have a girl and like this style, jump on it because they won't be around much longer. This seems like one of their most popular kids products; I can't understand why they would stop selling it. It was a great value too!

I bought this for my son 3 years ago and we have been very please. It's held up well to being used daily, going through the washer quite a few times, and being stuffed in a backpack. In fact, I'm going to replace it this year (it's finally started showing wear on the inside) with an identical lunch kit and buy one for his sister.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

I purchased two of these personalized for my daughters. The only thing I didn't like was that the purple bag was very very dark purple, and they used black to personalize it. This makes the name harder to read than on the other bag, which I ordered in Pink.
Other than that small flaw, this has been in use for almost 2 years now, without a single complaint. The best part for me was that my daughter needed a snack and a lunch for school, she kept her snack in the bottom, non-insulated area and her lunch stayed nice and cold with an icepack in the top roomier compartment. I would also keep a hot item in the bottom compartment separate from a cold in the top, and both kept their temperature fairly well. I looked at other bags from much more well-known sources and found none that compared to these. The design is the best feature of the bag.

I am looking to buy new ones, just because these have lasted so long and they look good. The letters on the ones we have are sewn on. I hope that if we get new ones, they will be, too.

We now have two of these. One of my daughters has the pink one and the other daughter has the purple one. The personalization is great, its actually sewn in so its not going to come off like some of the iron on or stick on names. The pink one has been in use by a preschooler for about 3 months and it is holding up perfectly. Its easy enough that she can do it by herself. We just got the purple one recently because my other daughter loved her sister's lunch bag so much she wanted one. The inside wipes out easily. Love it, love it, love it.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

I bought one of these for each of my daughters.

My 5-year old brings her school snack and lunch in this bag and it stays nice and cold and I like that I can put something different in each compartment. I use the bottom compartment for her snack and the top for the lunch. The outside pocket sometimes holds lunch money or a note, or a spoon or a napkin. Her bag is Lavender - which is NOT lavender but more of a deep purple. The color is dark enough that the black embroidery doesnt stand out very well, but its ok. She knows it's "Her" bag when she sees her name, and its kept her lunch from being lost in the pile of lunch bags in class.

My 2-year old loves to bring her own snack and drink when we do our errands. It's light enough that she can carry it herself, easy enough to open the top that she can put her own things into and take things out of by herself. I dont rely on her to be able to open the bottom just yet, but she's getting close! The Pink color is excellent - and shows the embroidery very well. She is learning how to spell her name by pointing to the letters on the bag and saying them one at a time.

I saved myself the hassle of picking out a new one as well as the cost. This lunchbox has lasted so long without any problems what so ever. Still looks great and he loves it. I even throw it in the dishwasher every so often to deep clean it and it is still in tip top shape.

My 5-year old daughter has used this bag for her lunch for about two weeks now. It's easy for her to use. We used the front mesh bag to store milk money. The bottom portion we use for the ice pack. The top portion is roomy and easy for her to open. We love it. And I've looked around at other stores and this is (by far) the best price for an embroidered personalized lunch bag.

I can seperate the different meals so they know that the ones on the bottom are for after school.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

I was very excited when I found these lunch totes for my girls as I wanted something personalized. But after waiting for what seemed like turtle-speed delivery, I was not happy with what I purchased. The colors are very intense-the pink is a very irridescent bubble gum tone and the purple is so deep that the black letters of my daughters name are hardly visible. While the product is good, if this is for girly-girls, you may want to consider another design with lighter more pastel colors.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

Cute lunch bag, especially for little ones that have to carry a snack in addition to their lunch. The snack fits neatly in the roomy bottom compartment and there's enough room at the top for a really big lunch. This bag would be even better if the seams at the bottom of the bag were reinforced by a tougher material, other than the nylon. I have a 3 year old who is obviously dragging his bag as he walks so the bottom is already fraying and has holes and we've only had the bag for about 3 weeks! So advise your little ones not to drag the bag. Otherwise, great buy for the price!

My daughter was thrilled with this lunchbag. Her's is pink and the monogramming is great. The only improvement I would make it a zip top to keep the bag completely closed. If you really fill the bag up with goodies, the flap-top gapes open on the sides. I put some velcro on the inside top of the bag to help out with this issue but a zip top would be better.

So far,we love it. My son loves that it has his name embroidered, and it's real embroidery and not the iron on heat application. The only thing I wish it came with is a hard sandwich holder for the botton zip compartment. It's soft, therefore whatever you put in the bottom compartment will get squished when you add things to the upper compartment. Would highly consider this for gifts for kids.

Cons:

Best Uses:
Keeps Lunch Safe and Cool
Primary use:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

I bought one for my child last year and again this year. It was great. It kept the sandwich from getting knocked around and squished. I bought a plastic sandwich container to put in the bottom of it. Having his name on the bag was wonderful. Everyone always knew it was his bag, and it made losing it difficult. It lasted for one school year, and held up to some serious abuse. The lining ripped at the very end of the year. My child likes to get a new lunch box every year so that didn't really concern me. Also, the foam in the handle slides back and forth, but you can slide it back into place. Over all, I really like this lunch bag because of the sandwich compartment, personalization, and attractive appearance.

This lunch bag is much roomier, but not much bigger, and holds more than similar lunch bags I've found at [...]. Not only will it fit my daughter's lunch (sandwich, fruit, chips, cookies) in the main compartment, but it also holds her snack (usually popcorn or other healthy snack) in the bottom zipper-section. By tossing a gel-ice pack on top, things stay cool until lunchtime, if needed. Finally, the name is embroidered (not just an iron-on), which is a fantastic way to label the lunch bag as her own. It's very cute and reminds me of something one might purchase at "Pottery Barn Kids," but at a much better price. I also bought a few extra lunch bags to give as birthday gifts to friends & cousins, but I think I should've also gotten one for myself.

It's hard to clean the outside of this lunchbox once it gets put on a lunchcart at school and put in a locker, however, it's roomy, keeps things in great shape and cool(with use of ice block). The kids LOVE it--helps to have name on it so large and nicely written at school. I used a lead tester kit on it, and my lunch bags tested lead-free.

I have a 6mo. little girl and we commute two hours a day. I ordered this insulated bag to keep her milk in during our travel. It works great. The real test is that we just took an 8 hour trip and it kept her bottles cold for the entire 8 hours and probably could have gone longer. I use the bottom compartment for her medications. The look of the bag is so trendy, that she will be able to use it when she gets older.

These are just cute; I ordered one for each of my daughters and one thing I really like is that you don't have to cram the food into them like some other lunch boxes. The handles are also big enough to fit on the rolling backpacks that LV sells, which is a big plus. Can't comment on durability yet since we just started using them, but they seem like they'll be fine. That mesh pocket in the front is great for hand sanitizer, they can see it there so they remember to use it before they eat.

This bag is roomy, functional and well-designed. I love the storage underneath for sandwiches or tupperware for meals to be heated (and they don't get squashed or all mixed up due to being turned on their side). The inside is roomy enough for fruit, a drink and additional snacks. I was even able to put a frozen ice pack in there to keep everything extra cold - worked like a charm. We received many compliments on the design and personalization, and I was asked to place a couple of orders of the lunch bag by some of my daughter's friend's mothers (so even the kids were raving on and on about it and asked their moms to buy them one). It is terrific. I highly recommend it.

My 2-year-old got this as a Christmas gift from an aunt. He LOVES this lunchbox and asks for it each morning before we go to preschool. I put notes for teachers in the front zippered (mesh) pocket, which is a GREAT feature! It's the perfect size for him to tote back and forth, and I can pack lunch in the main compartment, snack in the bottom one (both are insulated). The personalization also helps the school keep up with whose lunch is whose. We will order a new one for our second child (due in September) as soon as we settle on a name!!!! Maybe Mommy can have one too??? the only negative is that he is a little short and drags it, making the corners wear a bit.

This is a great lunch bag for short trips. It's durable and cute, and separates the heavy drink from smashing that sandwhich!

The only complaints that I have is that the top just closes with a flap over it, so insulation isn't the best for the top. Also, the top is pretty short and small, so it fills up with just a couple items if you are using gladware or pudding cups.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Insulated Lunch Bags:

My daughter received one of these as a birthday present and got 2 years use out of it. The bag is still in great condition and we are only reordering for sanitary reasons--and its time for a new color! I am also ordering one for my son as he starts 1st grade in the fall. This has been the best all around lunch kit for school we have found! Their name on the bag is also great for identification. Highly recommended.
