I bought this to use as an everyday purse. I found it hard to find a purse with enough pockets to keep organized and enough room. This work very well. The magnetic closure doesn't work as well as I would like, but have only once had anything fall out of the purse and that was due to the intervention of an excited dog at the vet's. It is a useful purse. There are plenty of zipper compartments for small things you don't want to loose like keys, etc.

I was looking for a bag in this over the shoulder style so that I wouldn't have to worry about it falling off my shoulder when out shopping with my kids. I loved the brown/blue color combination of this one. I have a potty training toddler and this bag will hold all of my regular purse items, a small umbrella, a small package of wipes, a couple of pull-up AND my fold-up potty seat, and I haven't even unzipped the expansions on the sides. It has way more pockets than I will ever need.

It does get a bit heavy, but then again I have alot of stuff in it. I think they must have improved the magnetic closer since some of the other reviews were written. There are two which are now outside the fabric (in the picture you can't see them, but on mine you can more like as seen on the regular travel messanger bag) and they are very strong. I can't see them coming undone and stuff falling out. Maybe if it was stuffed to its max.

Overall this is a great bag, very practical, stylish and at a great price.

I bought one of these bags years ago and it has lasted a long time. I'm definitely going to buy another one because I have never found any other bag that can hold as much as this one and still be on the "compact" side.

I'm 59 years old and I love to shop. Young girls approach me with questions about the amount of items I can actually store in my bag, so I show them that it handles all of my items and some pockets I haven't used yet! They said they saw it on TV,but I tell them that my bag came from Lillian Vernon.com and not from the TV. My bag has a flashlight! Very handy in the dark! I have purchased this bag for my stepdaughter and she uses it for school!

I purchased the Messenger Bag with our vacation in mind. I have 2 little ones and I knew my hands would be tied watching them. The bag is great. I have enough room for my personal stuff, our passports, airline tickets and small first aide kit for the kids. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I plan to purchase one more before they sell out. I currently use it for everyday use and I love. Comfortable long strap which helps when wearing heavy winter coats. Perfect fit. Easy cell phone access.

This bag is heavy even when it is empty. When I put in my usual stuff (cell phone, hand wipes, tissues, hair tie, a thin pen, and 3 pcs of notepaper, plus wallet), my shoulder started hurting after about 10 minutes from the weight and the straps cut into my shoulders. I have a $5 bag [...], though is not as "stylish" as this bag, but I can haul all my stuff without a problem.I lost the cute mini flash light within the first week since it was just secured by a weak managet button. :( Plus, for some reasons, maybe my body was twisted from all the shoulder pain for carring this bag, the front flap seemed crooked (lean to one side) all the time which is really annoying.I really wish I can return it. What a waste of money. Guess I will donate it to Goodwills soon.

Very dissapointed. I bought it to take it on a trip to Brazil. The front magnet is too weak and doesn't close when you put stuff in the bag. There is no zipper inside to keep things from falling, and because the front magnet doesn't work, nothing is safe. Do not buy it. There are better bags out there.

I liked the overall look of the bag and the many pockets and the mini flashlight. But as other reviewers mentioned, things fall out since the front flap does not stay closed and if you put too much in the front flap, it tips over and does not hang properly when you are wearing it. When you are wearing the bag, it does not sit comfortably. I tried it to the side, towards the back and front and no matter how I tried to wear the bag, it just did not feel comfortable. I always had to put my hand on the front to keep from things falling out. I'm disappointed with Travelon as they usually make great products, but this one is not one. Don't waste your money.

I just recently used this bag on a trip to Mexico. It held everything and more. The strap needs to be redesigned though because it had a tendency to want to flop over. Other than that, it was perfect.

I thought it would be great for vacation to DC but it was a huge disappointment. You can't
load front pouch with too much without it hanging crooked (only had ipod nano, small digital camera & small id/coin wallet in front pouch). Because magnetic closure is very weak, anytime I took it off and set it down other items spilled out because there's no zipper to keep what's inside from doing so and in DC I took it off a lot b/c of security.

Took it on vacation. Concept is great, but had a problem keeping flap tightly closed. It kept tipping over & opening.

This is a great bag. There is so much storage for a mid sized bag with so many pockets. I use it as a diaper bag sometimes when I am out, and I still have not been able to fill the thing with all the stuff for 2 kids! I do have one problem though. It does not have a snap. It does have two weak magnets that are to hold it shut, but I would like something a little more secure. The only time this is an issue is if I bend in a certain way to do something with my kids, but it does make me a little nervous. Generally , it stays shut, but occasionally the top swings out, especially if it is weighted with stuff. Overall great bag.

My bag came today and I am so excited. It is just perfect. I ordered the brown bag with the blue lining, very stylish looking! There is plenty of storage and it is very comfortable to wear, it is not bulky at all. I really contemplated buying this bag or the smaller version on LV. I'm glad I went with this one! There are two zippers for expanding the main section of the bag and the inner pocket that hold credit cards so you can fill it up as you go.

I am planning to take this bag with me on a two week trip to Greece & Italy next week. I think it will be absolutely perfect for traveling. I love the way it hangs across the body in order to avoid those pesky pick pockets all over Rome. This bag is very nice looking and the material will wipe off easily. I wish they had more colors, I would love a green one like the similar, but smaller bag.

I bought this product to use on a two week European Vacation, and it was the best "travel bag" I've ever used! There was space for all my money, both Euros and Dollars, my tickets, my camera & batteries too! Plus, I was able to even take a bottle of water and our various sight-seeing maps as well! I would strongly recommend this bag for anyone who likes to "travel light" or is planning "day tours!"
