Loved the 1st one we bought for our son! Now oldest daughter wants a sports themed room. Loved this product so much, buying a one for her now. Product is heavy duty and durable (was curious about a few of the reviews speaking about the lack of durability??) Maybe a bad batch, we've had ours over a year, still working beautifully, perfect for reading at night. Cord is perfect length for my son's room, but could be a little longer for my daughter's!

This lamp went perfectly with the 'sports ball theme' in my son's room, however, the basball bat became detached within months and we fixed it several times but it kept breaking. Soon after, the on/off switch broke and we had to play around with the switch just to turn the lamp on since there didn't seem a way to fix it. The broken switch is more than annoying and so, at the present time I'm deciding now whether to give it another try or buy the cheaper baseball lamp in case this kind of thing happens again.

I thought this was great assest to my child's room because it had the all sports team which was what I was looking for. The shade is poorly made and after two weeks the blue piping aournd the top of the shade became loose and the shade was no longer useful. I still think it is a great product but something needs to be done about the shade design. I belive it provides a great accent to any kids room that enjoys sports.

This is our 2nd sports lamp! Our 6-year-old loved his lamp so much that we bought the same one for our newborn's room. A nice, sturdy lamp that can grow with a child from baby (dimmer light) to older kid (enough to light the room nicely).

[...] The top of the bat also has a blimish in the paint that is very noticeable but overall it's ok. It fits the decor of my sons room well. I don't recommend a 60 watt bulb though. It was bright as daylight with a 60 so I bought a 25 watt.

With a very "boy-sterous" boy on my hands, it is amazing that anything survives his beatings. He has dropped this lamp on many, many occasions and it took 2 years before he actually made the pieces come apart. However, with a little glue, it fused right back together, with the same beautiful appearance it had when I bought it. The colors are beautiful and very sporty!! Goes with any sports theme decor for boys!!!
