My kids loved their "hippity hops" when they were little and my sister and I had them growing up, too. Just gave this to my grandson at his 3rd birthday and after getting the hang of it he loves it! I like the size of this one - he has shorter legs. It is very thick and durable. He was hopping with it down the sidewalk and it held up just fine. The handle is great for chubby little hands to hang on!

This is the perfect size for a young child. My 4 year old is happily hopping all over the house. He loves it, and it's great exercise too.

The child I bought this for just turned 3 and is petite. Still, this hop ball was far too small for her to use. She sat on it, tried to hop, and when it didn't work due to its small size, she lost interest. This surprised me because she is very coordinated and quite athletic. Also, you need a good air pump to inflate, and it took 2 people---one to pump, one to make sure the air did not escape. I should have returned it, but it did not warrant the postage and effort. Perhaps a 2 yr old would like this but I don't know if a toddler could use it correctly.

My four-year-old loves this because it is a Spiderman item, and he bounces all over the place -- sidewalk, grass, carpeting (tsk, tsk). Our two dogs like to run along with him, and they haven't chewed it up for some reason, so it's great. His friends like it, too, so he is very engaged with people, getting exercise, and it is not easily destructible. A very good buy.

I remember these balls as being larger when my kids were younger. One of my grandchildren is five years old and 70pounds, she is also tall. I just hope the ball works for her. The other two children were fine with theirs. They loved it and especially liked the design. It is a good way to exercise in any weather, inside or out. Rain or shine.

I purchased 3 of these, two of the small character ones for my 2 & 3year old, and the larger size for my 8 year old daughter. It took a while for my 2 year old to get the grasp of it, but she just loves it now. It is so funny to watch her bounce around, my youngest will bounce around for ages on this. We even set up races. Just keep away from the dog, ours chewed the handle and it deflated.
