Cute towel, but not thick 'n' thirsty as advertised. The towel is thin. The only thing it has is color and style. I need to carry an extra towel to keep my child warm and dry. As far as a recommendation, it all has to do with individual needs. If you want style and cuteness, then yes.
If you want a thick n thirsty towel, then no.

i love the great design and also the embroidered name. unfortunately, the towel is very, very thin and i am disappointed. i read the reviews and did the homework, hoping to side w/ the majority that thought it was a great towel, but i can't. the quality of the towel needs improving. the design is great and the personalization is cute, but the towel is flimsy!

In kindergarten my son needed a towel for school. This towel is so big and plush. He can use it for taking naps on to going to the beach. The best part that it was one of a kind and had his name on it.

Bought 4 personalized beach towels (two camo and two flip flops) for wedding party gifts for the flower girls and ring bearers. I added a beach bag and waterpark ticket to their gift, too. The beach towel was their favorite! What a fun way to personalize a gift.
