I bought mine two years ago and it still looks like it just came out of the box. My son has filled his up, and I am ordering a companion one since his is overflowing. He takes his collector baseballs out freguently so, I specifically wanted one without glass. This one fits the bill.

This makes for a great wall collage with other baseball items. I have had one hanging in my sons bedroom for 2+ years, the balls go in and come out regularly and he is not gentle with the item. It looks brand new still. I am looking for another one so if you have one to unload let me know, it seems they are not available anymore.
Comments about Lillian Vernon Wood Baseball Display Case:
I didn't pay very close attention to the color when I ordered it. Now looking at the site I realize it does look blue not black like I originally thought. That is a little disappointing because I ordered 2 and my sons' room is red. Otherwise it's nice to have their names personalized on them and it seems sturdy. I guess I can always paint them if they clash too much.
The product arrived fast

Comments about Lillian Vernon Wood Baseball Display Case:
I searched high and low for a reasonably priced display case for our sons' baseballs. Most are either kind of childish like the baseball shaped one that LV also sells or they are expensive ones for true ball collectors. I actually prefer that this does not have a glass front - with young boys who play frequently in their room, I don't have to worry about it falling off the wall and glass shattering. The only thing I would have preferred is if it had at least one more shelf.

It is great except for the color. Do not want blue!!!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Wood Baseball Display Case:
The three boys love baseball and each wants to keep their own balls separate and displayed. This baseball case is exactly what they wanted. The boys are 10, 7 and 7. Our 5 year old softball player would really like one in pink..maybe next year.

I guess I should have read the comments first then I wouldn't have purchased it....what's the point if it doesn't have glass to protect what is inside it?!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Wood Baseball Display Case:
The case itself is OK but I thought it had glass on the front. I'm guessing the balls will get dusty fairly quickly. I suppose it's my fault for assuming the case was enclosed but it seems a little misleading to me. I would recommend it if the description was more clear about not being enclosed and that people knew what they were getting.

My son was sooo excited to have a showcase for his growing collection of game balls. We'll probably have to order another one.

Bought this case for my baseball loving grandson. It's a very nice & attractive case. I thought it would have glass but it doesn't. It's still great w/o it.

I bought this display case for my two nephews. It looks great on the wall in the bedroom and it doesn't take up a lot of space.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Wood Baseball Display Case:
Good product/value. The case looked like it had a glass door to me in the picture, but it is an open shelf. My son loves it, and has put his baseballs and hockey pucks in there. The only negative is that the name plate was poorly engraved so you could barely see the first letter in my son's name. [...]
