This is a nicely designed, durable money band. I bought it as a gift for my husband, who had used an office binder clip as a wallet for years because he could not find a better solution. This band is the solution. We are both very pleased with it.

I bought this for my son for alot more money at a local jewelry store - it looked exactly the same so when I saw it at Lillian Vernon, I bought another one as a gift for my husband. He uses it every day instead of a rubber band around his bills, and although the elastic bands that come with it do wear out easily, they can be replaced if you google "grandband" to purchase more elastic bands inexpensively. The engraved piece is really nice & it's a great gift for any guy who won't carry a wallet & so many won't!

I HAVE ORDERED THIS ITEM TWICE. DO I FEEL STUPID. MY HUSBAND REFUSES TO USE A WALLET OR A MONEY CLIP. HE WAS USING A BINDER CLIP. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD LOOK MORE PROFESSIONAL. HE LOVED IT BUT THEN ONE BY ONE EACH RUBBER BAND BROKE. THEY SHOULD HAVE AN OPTION TO BUY EXTRA RUBBER BANDS BUT THEY OF COURSE DON'T. I BOUGHT IT AGAIN THINKING MAYBE I GOT A BAD BATCH OF RUBBER BANDS. THEY BROKE TOO. WHAT A WASTE!

My husband goes back and forth between money clips and plain old rubber bands, so I thought this would be a classier alternative to the plain brown rubber bands he uses. The metal bar with the initials is barely held on the rubber band with narrow edges on the underside, so when the band is stretched and gets narrow, the metal piece falls off...EVERY TIME it's used. So basically I spent [$] shipping on three plain old latex rubber bands (same as I can get at the office supply store for [$] for a bag of 250) and a piece of metal that easily gets lost every time it's used. I would have returned them had my husband not tossed out the fancy-looking box it came in.

This is basically elastic bands with a cheap silver clip over that you can engrave. A good deal for [...] but not [...].

I couldn't believe this was just a large heavy duty rubber band. It wasn't even black like the picture it was more of a grey - older look. I should have really read the description better. It says rubber band but it looked as though it had some kind of covering - like pony tail bands would have. Nice and shiny and not so cheap looking. Just thought it could have looked nicer... but I bet my dad will still use it!
