I purchased this as a gift for myself when I got married and changed my name. I thought that it was beautiful in the picture and I agreed in person. It is not of great quality though. I certainly wouldn't give this as a gift. I don't carry mine around every day or keep it in my purse. It sits next to my jewelry box and I only use it to check the back of my hair in the mirror. It is atleast good enough for that purpose.

I got this as a Christmas present and it fell apart within 3 days. I guess the glue that holds the mirrors in its place is worthless. Everytime I opened it, one of the mirrors would fall out.

I don't like the fact that the initials are on the magnified side since I rarely use that mirror. I also don't like the fact that the mirror does not open all the way. I bought one for myself, my sister, and my mom and my mom's compact does not even close. It is very loose. The outside of the compact is very pretty but the initials should be on both sides and more visible. I agree with those who have said the compact looks extremely better in pictures than it actually does once you get it. Then again, you get what you pay for.

i ordered this and it came looking cheap but i gave it as a gift anyway. after a week of use i visted to my friend that i gave it to, and saw it in her trash can, completly worthless. i asked her about it and she admitted to me that it fell apart on the second day of use!

I was hoping the products were just as good as the picture. But it is pretty much what you expect, a low quality novelity item. The claps hardly close. The mirrors are attached with tape, so make sure you press them so they won't fall out. The engaving is really light, so you barely can see it.

The photo is beautiful, but I should have known that kind of deal was too good to be true. The hinge is loose, mirror is not attached well at all (it wobbles around, almost fell out), the thing will not even open flat (it stays at a 90* angle and that is it-I didn't even try to pry it the rest of the way open!). I ordered three for gifts and will not be giving any of them out at Christmas.

This is a good gift option for ladies. The antiqued finish is good though the mirror looks like it's loosely attached to the frame and may fall off or break anytime. The personalised engraving needs to be more prominent.

I love shiny things and monograms. I fell in love with the photo and ordered 9 compacts as Christmas gifts. The first one fell apart as I took it out of the box-the hinge pin is unsecured and that is all that holds the two halves of the compact together. When I opened the compact, the mirror fell out. It is only secured with 3 sticky pieces of foam tape. Not even glued in! All the compacts too shoddy to give as gifts.

This is clearly a product from China. It looks pretty, but a little cheep on the way the mirror is attached. It seams fragile. Not something you would carry in your purse.The personalization is a nice idea, but like other [...] products in the past 12 years or so - The engraving is very shallow and detracts rather than adds value to the item.
