I got all silver because the pink enamel were sold out. My only complaint with this product is that the silver Mary Jane charms are a bit bigger (wider) than the boy shoe. The first letter of one of the names was practically off the sole of the shoe, leaving space on the other end. Its a cute idea but the workmanship of the engravers is less than desirable. Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Silver Shoe Charms and Chain: I have just ordered my 4th charm for my brand new 4th grandchild. Two boys and two girls. My oldest is 9 and her charm is as nice as when I purchased it. Just have to polish them every so often. Since they are silver, that is expected. Engraving is very nice. It is a great conversation starter to brag on my grandchildren. I have complete strangers come up to me and ask about them. I got silver spacers at a local craft store to seperate them and looks great.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Silver Shoe Charms and Chain: I bought a set of charms and necklace for my mom and me years ago when my three kids were little (my oldest graduates from high school this year!) I still love wearing it and notice my mom rarely goes out without it on! Now my God-mother is a grandmother (of a boy and a girl this year) and I am thrilled I can send her a set! My only observation and warning is that the ballet slipper is very wide and compared to the very narrow baby shoe it looks a bit out of proportion. I'm nervous that there are some recent negative engraving reviews as I will not see the finished product before my God-mother gets them in the mail.

The shoes were adorable and exactly what I wanted, but the engraving was ridiculously terrible!! There was a huge space between the first letter and the rest of the name on both shoes. I called customer service and told them. The solution was to resend a new set and leave comments for the engraver about why I was returning them. Imagine my surprise when the second set I got were EVEN WORSE than the first set!! I was so disappointed, but I had to return them because I would have been embarrassed to wear them (it was *that* bad!).

I have a lot of charms on others have been rubbed down from all the jingling and moving. This one has not done that. I have seven charms and they all bunch together on the necklace. I am looking for silver balls to insert on the chain in between each to separate them to make them all visible. Any advise on where to find this item???

The snake chain works great for lots of shoes. My engravings have not worn off. Just "crimp" bale and they will not come off.
