The design is thin plastic and it does not seem sturdy. I don't expect to get much use out of it and I certainly can't let her use it because it probably won't stand up to a child's handling. To add to the "cheap" feel, the front of the item has the word "Excelent" (sic) on it. I would think anybody designing this product or reviewing it before production should have realized that word has two "L"s. I have two daughters ages 3.5 and 5 so we have LOTS of art that flows through our house. These portfolios are perfect to store the pics, keep them separate (I bought one for each girl), and to organize the age they were when they made the artwork. They already love to go through their old pictures- I'm sure this will be a great memory in the years to come!

I purchased three of these and each of my kids have one. The only thing I think they need to change on it is to make the bottom expandable.
